Public Involvement

The project will require a modification to the existing 6 NYCRR Part 360 permit that has been previously issued by the New York Department of Environmental Conservation. The application for the permit modification is subject tot he Uniform Procedures Act. In addition, the application will also be subject to the requirements of the State Environmental Quality Review Act.

It is anticipated that during the review of the application there will be several opportunities for public involvement and comment. These opportunities may include:

• Scoping session for the Supplemental EIS
• Public Comment Period for the Supplemental EIS and Permit Modification Application
• Project Information meetings when necessary

Public involvement and comment regarding the project is a critical element to the success of the project.

• Notified of public meetings
• Encouraged to provide feedback and comment during the project
