Project Overview

The City of Albany, acting as lead agent for the Capital Region Solid Waste Management Partnership (formerly known as “ANSWERS”), seeks to expand the Rapp Road Landfill located in the City of Albany, Albany County, New York.

The expansion area will be considered by the Capital Region Solid Waste Management Partnership for a modern, environmentally sound solid waste disposal facility (SWDF). The expansion and operation of a SWDF on the site will be reviewed by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC).
